. >> that's right. let's turn to afghanistan. five u.s. troops were killed yesterday by a bomb and we are hearing that two members of the navy went missing in kabul. one body was found and another was held captive. the taliban is claiming responsibility. this could be the deadliest month for american troops. how much does that change in command have to do with this, and is this part of a bigger problem? >> whenever we have seen significant changes in american policy in afghanistan the taliban tries to do something to discourage us from staying on mission. clearly, afghanistan is a situation we have to watch carefully. i think the president needs to stick to the timetable and try to get us out of there and a way that is a reasonable, but we are spending a lot of moneyin in afghanistan, and i think we need to look at this a little more carefully, and hopefully, the withdrawal schedule will go forward as planned. >> the white house has tried to keep the focus on jobs, but they have had to be sidetracked with shirley sherrod. do feel the president handled it well? >> i feel she should nev
